This is Home: Nashville ft. High Valley

This week on this is home, we’re walking through the homes of High Valley!

Brad and Curtis Rempel comprise the critically acclaimed Canadian-born, Nashville-bred duo High Valley. The brothers have received praise from Rolling Stone, Pandora and more for soaring harmonies and memorable songs, and have drawn influence from artists such as Ricky Skaggs, Diamond Rio and the Everly Brothers.

High Valley’s international appeal has already earned them over 200 million streams across the U.S. and Canada alone. The duo’s singles “Make You Mine” and “She’s With Me” are certified gold–and the latter–being their most recent hit–became their first Top 10 single.

Curtis Room Tour

Take a look at the Rempel farm! Curtis, a self proclaimed woodworker, loves building tables and spoon carving in his spare time. He’s also built shelving that’s used throughout his home for a truly authentic look. It’s a subtle addition that augments the farmhouse style and earthy tones.

We love how the large windows in the home let in natural light and give Curtis and his wife Miranda a peek at their horses, which they enjoy tending to and riding together.

This is: The Master Bedroom

The master bedroom is Curtis and his wife’s favorite room in the house. Why? “This is where we start and end every day,” he said. Filled with light colors for an airy, relaxing aesthetic, one of the staples Curtis loves is the Fair Ridge Accent Cabinet.

Placed atop it are the lyrics sung at their wedding–so it’s extra special to the both Curtis and Miranda. Also displayed in the room is a photo of Curtis’s parents on their wedding day over 40 years ago. “Super proud of them for that, we hope that we can do the same.”

Brad’s Room Tour

Brad and his wife love hosting people, so an inviting living area was a must-have for the two of them. This room transitions into the most important room in the house: the eating area.

This is: The Kitchen

With two boys who eat a lot, the kitchen is a high traffic area where everyone gathers–so it was important that the space was easy to navigate, while also being stylish. “I’d love to take a lot of credit for putting all the meals on this beautiful dining table but my wife is definitely the rockstar in that department.”

 This is: The Bedroom

“There’s no bed on earth that I sleep better on than this one right here.” Brad loves coming back home to his restful farmhouse retreat. “It’s a great room for me to rest and get ready for the next big tour.”
