This is Home: Nashville ft. Walker County

walker county family photo home tour

We’re back with another episode of This is Home: Nashville where we give you a peek inside of Nashville’s top artists’ home. Today we’re walking through Walker County’s humble abode!

Walker County, compromising of sisters Ivy Dene and Sophie Dawn, can tout itself a full family affair as the duo’s father, Billy Walker, plays lead guitar for the band. They extend their roots into traditional country, intertwining their soulfulness with southern rock flair. Walker County has been turning heads since they first stepped on stage. The sisters Ivy and Sophie music is as fire as their home. Check it out!

The sisters decided to redo their parents living room. “we were so excited to be able to do this for them because when we started playing music as little girls with our dad back in Indiana… the living room was nonexistent.”  Ivy and Sophie grew up on a family farm so they chose to go for a chic modern farmhouse look.

Every piece they chose to decorate with was to commemorate family. They have a photo of their mom’s grandpa hanging and filled the tv stand with their mom’s favorite cowboy books.

“When we’re not on the road playing music, this is the place to be. We just picked everything that made us feel comfortable. And mom loves it.”
