A Home Office Fit for a Boho Queen

When it’s time to create a fun, functional and vibrant home office space, we know exactly who to call.  Amber, also known as PreppyBohemianAtHome on InstagramOpens in a new window, is the expert on all things bohemian, so we asked her to partner with us to create a bohemian home office. As it happens, Amber’s original home office was cluttered and dysfunctional and she was over it. Working together we were able to create the workspace of Amber’s dreams.

First, she began her home office makeover by painting the walls white. White walls are the perfect neutral backdrop when you plan to infuse the room with tons of color. Once the stage was set, she had fun inserting colorful elements to make her office come to life.

Amber started with the Harput area rugOpens in a new window. The rug’s magical array of colors paints the perfect picture of her vision and makes a huge statement in the office. With the walls and floor complete, it was time for the fun part – furniture shopping!

The desk is by far the most important piece of furniture in a home office. We love that Amber chose the Baraga deskOpens in a new window. The essence of modern style, its simplistic white design is perfect for any room. Of course, this desk wouldn’t be complete without a minimalist favorite, the Lumisource accent chairOpens in a new window. It’s a perfect fit and it adds a little flair.  

Amber made sure there was plenty of space to store away books and other items that may have caused clutter in the past. Once Amber had all the necessary pieces set up in her office, it was time to add some dazzle. She chose the soft, shaggy and shiny Celeste poufOpens in a new window to tie the whole room together.

And one more thing…can we talk about her basket wall? You can’t get any more boho than this and once she added the Jazmin wall clockOpens in a new window– WOW! Amber has nailed the preppy bohemian look and we CANNOT wait to see more from her very soon.
