Finally, the COCOCOZY Design House dining room has new drapes and window coverings! Wanted to share the new look with you. Did I mention that my sister bought the COCOCOZY Design House? Well that story will have to wait for another day!
There are so many ways to cover windows. With the dining room and gallery wall it was top priority to make sure the curtains were perfect for the space and amplified the design.
These are the custom color block two-toned linen drapes I had made for the dining room. The curtains are made from two different weights of cotton. The different fabric weight and two-tone color allow for emphasis on the bottom beige linen and make the window appear larger. I went back and forth over the color selection. In the end, soft cream and beige were perfect for keeping the dining room light and bright while adding a cozy feel.
When I first designed the house, I did not include drapes in my plan. It was too much to think about at the time. I was lucky because the new owner of the house asked me to design all of the new window coverings. I was able to keep my vision for the space.
BEFORE AND AFTER LINEN DRAPES
Before the drapes, the dining room had more of a crisp and clean feeling.
After adding the curtains the light through the window is filtered subtly and creates an inviting space.
